What color is this?

Pretty sure it's OEM and have seen the name somewhere before... However, I can't seem to find the name or paint code.

Thanks, I'll look for "Pyrite". For some reason I had it in my mind that it was called "Champagne" or something, but maybe not...

Heheh I don't think it's that bad a color if kept clean...

The only color I can find that would be close enough (no other similar colors) is "Phoenix Yellow 445"

its a factory color, but i always just imagined it was the baby of a mistake in which somebody put the wrong can of paint in the sprayer, then threw up in it, then pissed in it, then sh!t in it after some indian food.it reminds me of bronzit beige, but i think that was mostly limited to e28s. ill keep hunting

Hmm, I went through the 2000 e46 colors and the only matching one was Phoenix Yellow :-| Guess some of the other years had other colors.

i think its a nice color, there was a 2000 323ci on ebay with almost 100k miles, went for more than 9k(i think more than what most 323ci go at no reserve)..

its one of those colors that pictures don't due it justice. in person the color has much more appeal. i seen one the other day for the first time on the highway. i guess because its so rare, that i liked it.

I do believe Phoenix Yellow is an M3 only colour (like Laguna Seca blue)...

And the car pictured is definitely not Phoenix Yellow...

My Ride: Has blue lights
Looks to be Sonora Metallic. Not a very popular color but was available starting MY 2003. Replaced by Platimum Bronze in 06 for US cars.
