330i ZHP For Sale - Beautiful Car, Great Price, Huge Dowry

NOTE: Price reduction to $21,000 to be more in line with March 2009 NADA pricing.

Meet Gretchen, a Silver Gray Metallic 2005 E46 330i ZHP with black leather interior, 6-speed/3-pedal manual transmission, and all the bells and whistles. This Bavarian cutie has led a highly pampered, meticulously cared for, much beloved life. I ordered her from the factory in November 2004 with the Performance Package, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Navigation, and Xenons and took delivery in January 2005 at Kimberly BMW in Davenport, IA when she was 2 miles old. Break-in was by the book. All maintenance was done at Kimberly BMW and I have all maintenance/service records including the scheduled 60,000 mile checkup where she was given a clean bill of health. She has always been garaged, never tracked, runs like a dream, and uses a couple of sips of oil every 15,000 miles. To be honest I'd keep her myself if I had the space but I just acquired a 2006 E46 M3 and it has to sit outside until I find Gretchen a good home.

The performance package (ZHP) is considered by many to be the best of the breed for this generation (E46) 3 series (1999-2005). Look for links to reviews of this vehicle below or just do a google search on key words: 330I PERFORMANCE PACKAGE REVIEW and see for yourself:

See the following links for reivews of the E46 330i ZHP:
The factory navigation system integrates all of the car's electronic functions (stereo, bluetooth, computer, etc) into a single unit. I personally keep the Navigation operating system updated so you get the latest official version which - among other things - gives you a 3D view of the road. This is something you're not going to find on many of these cars - even those sold by BMW dealers. It's not difficult to do but it does require some time, research, and attention to detail. The 3 memory, automatic seat option that comes with the Premium package (ZPP) allows 3 different settings for 3 different drivers. These memory settings store and recall the majority of the car's electronic options and the two master keys automatically differentiate settings between two different drivers when the car is unlocked. The driver's seat provides one more memory setting option through a 3rd button on the driver's seat which is nice if you know someone besides your spouse that you actually trust to routinely drive your car. The front seats are heated - part of the cold weather package (ZCW). The rear seats are split and fold down for extra storage - also part of the cold weather package. And the headlights have automatic pop-up squirter, washer thingys that clean the head-lights every third time the windshield washer is activated . . . . how cool is that?

Things you should know:
She comes with a set of 16" winter wheels shod with Blizzak LM25's. These tires have seen 3 Iowa winters but I don't drive like an idiot so there are plenty of seasons left. I put a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050a Pole Position tires on the 18" premium alloy summer wheels in 2008 and she got a brand new BMW battery in February 2009. You'll get both master keys and the valet key (as you should but typically don't) as well as every book and CD that she came with. Plus, you get an as-good-as-new original brochure for this vehicle and the accessories and wheel catalogs. These last items are nice to have and will give you something to look at when you're not driving. Finally, Gretchen comes with 4 additional quarts of BMW synthetic oil specifically formulated for this car. No other type of oil has ever been (nor should ever be) used on this car. I bought 6 quarts from the dealership when I picked the car up in January 2005. 4 years and 65,000 miles later, I still have 4 quarts left. I always keep 1 quart in a zip-lock bag tucked away in the space where the spare tire is stored . . . . just in case. You should too.

Cliffs:

I have a loaded 2006 330i 6MT.
6 year note: $550 a month
I drive 40-50k a year and will likely pop my CPO/Full Maint. Warranty around payment 20 out of 72... Bought car in August with 29k have 51k today.

I also have an E30Touring project car - m50 swap, alpinas, mtech II - $33,500 cash invested and counting.

Looking to sell the E90 and DD the Touring until it too sells.

Then pay off some debt and either get a ZHP sedan or a new mini S or a 1 series..

I want to get my payments into the 400's over 5 years - or lease with plan on buying... Want to have either a NEW car with coverages to 100k or a ZHP that I know is solid (having had 2 E46's already)...
