Hahaha I like that one...but seriously, BMW needs to up its game. BMW isn't going to beat Audi by making M SUVs. What BMW competes with the R8? Nothing. The TT-RS? Nothing. The forthcoming RS3? Nothing. The S4 Avant? Nothing.

BMW needs to produce:
1) M3 CSL
2) 135tii
3) 335iT Touring

agreed, however they are down 22% with sales, so i can completely understand that they are sticking to the high volume sales rather than the more rare M models

If you compare the BMW and Audi lineup...BMW has a lot of gaps to fill...
And don't even get me started on BMW's new naming system...cause 4 year old can come up with a better system

TT-RS: The E89 Z4 should not have a problem keeping up with this car imo. The twin turbo version and the TT-RS have a lot of similarity, apart from the price

135"tii": Already got the greenlight

335iT: Exist in Europe, not enough demand in US. Will keep up with S4 without too much trouble.

BMW's in decent shape, considering the way the economy is. But I will concede anyday that Audi has made huge progress

Exactly, those specialized models is not useful to a company during these tough times. While I know the R8 has been a HUGE image boost for Audi, everyone forgot about it as soon as the GT-R came out (not that they are necessarily competing against each other).

The huge model coming up for BMW is the F10 (5 Series). That's really going to be pivotal.
