Does E46 steptronic ever blip downshifts?
Recently I drove very *spiritedly* on a *closed course* where I was in steptronic manual mode, full throttle in 3rd gear, near redline. A very tight, narrow corner came up and I braked hard while downshifting to second.
My windows were open and I could very clearly hear what sounded like a downshift throttle blip. Does the steptronic transmission in our E46s ever blip like what I thought I heard? Or was it just the situation/my ears tricking me?

you are asking if your engine revs automatically when you downshift manually?
i doubt it |
