Car won't start? Please help
Hey guys I have a '99 328i 110k miles, battery has plenty of juice, alternator won't even click, no cel, lights light up like normal, key buttons operate everything perfectly except for starting the car. I even checked my spare key to see if it was the transponder...nope. I also checked the fuses for the DME but they were fine, in fact not one fuse was bad. Does this sound like either:
1. EWS 2. Oil Level Sensor 3. Some type of relay 4. Some type of EWS ring on the key hole for ignition Please help if you can. , Frustrated in Florida

I really dont see how it could be, every time I start the car it fires right up, as soon as I turn the key over. If it is the starter, it showed NO signs of going out. I thought about that earlier but really do not see that as a logical solution to my problem. Just forgot to mention it.

depending on how far u want to take it, pull out the alternator / starter and have them tested (for free) @ autozone. more then likley it looks like its pointing towards a starter issue with what your saying, do you hear the grinding of the starter? or you get no cranking at all? have you put a meter up to the battery to check your voltage?

No cranking at all, and I am an electrician so I sure did. But anyways, I took it to a local BMW shop and it was the piece of rubber on the back of the clutch pedal that broke off not allowing the sensor to realize that the clutch is depressed. So it cost me $103 to get a dab of epoxy . lol. Just glad its fixed.

I was wondering if you would take a picture of it for me if you dont mind. Hopefully thats all thats wrong and not the starter or EWS as I have read in other threads.
