Do you know which CSL trunk I am referring to? Details inside

Do any of you guys recall the following

Aftermarket CSL trunk
No handle, so designed like Vorsteiner and Seibon
Cost was around $600
Was available a few years back, but I guess not any more
Modbargains carried it

I have a local selling this trunk, and I want to know what trunk he is selling.

I don't want the handle one, and the "handle-less" one that modbargains from what I have hear fit like sh*t and only went for $350ish anyways... the fiberglass one......

The only trunk I could think of is the Sauber Design one, which I know was available a few years back

TIA

could it be a vorsteiner DVWP version of the trunk? I think it was around $600-700 in price. Sadly they discontinued the DVWP and only produce CF now.

chris can you ask mike or ron? i sent them PM's today but haven't heard back from them

i doubt the trunk was carbon fiber, since the seller said it was already primered.... so my guess is fiberglass or DVWP
however, $600 for a fiberglass trunk a few years back..........

would you mind asking them what brand of trunks they had say... 3 years back?
thank you sir

i have no idea what it is

it could be seibon, vorsteiner, vis, or sauber design
it could be some no name POS fiberglass one that the seller got ripped off on as well

thats why i'm asking what modbargains sold a while back
a true fanatic would know lol

and once again... it is primered already, so i doubt it is seibon or vis since they made carbon only..... (i am guessing that this trunk isn't carbon since it came primered)

update

checked out the trunk last night..... looks pretty good, however i still want to try and see what brand it is

it is fiberglass, which i'm not crazy about, but whatever
it is handle-less as well, so it looks exactly like the vorsteiner and seibon trunks
has the license plate lights and trunk lock already cut out
has no badge or company stamp anywhere to be found

gonna see if i can test fit it one day to see how it fits, if all goes well then i'll get it

so, anyone have an idea yet of which trunk this is?

i just discovered that www.bavauto.com has a version of the CSL trunk. it is fiberglass at $699. you can search their site by searching "CSL". im not sure if its made by them or if they are a distributor for some company.

i don't care if it is fiberglass... since that is relatively just as strong as the cf ones lol, but i just want to check the quality and fitment

thanks again for the info

where does the creaseline go on the horizontal line? exactly across to the top of the tail lamps or misaligned? VS is a replica of OEM with the creaseline (and no handle). others aren't as good and even appear to be two lines.
Modbargains for a while had the picture of the VS still shown on their ad. After they fixed the link you could see it was a different styled trunk. So it might have been the VS dvwp you're thinking of?

the trunk crease definitely appeared to be OEM alex... so it should have gone straight across from one corner of the light to the other

what is VS?
whats it stand for?

It's the abbreviation for Vorsteiner for us lazy people. Mine is a Vorsteiner(link to pictures). Some styles have the creaseline above and some below where it should be. Some other ones even have a doubled up line which looks lame. And details like that might really bother you.

oh ok... i thought you were trying to type in "VIS" haha

it looks identical to that
i know what you mean with the reps and the "double line"... i am very particular about that and absolutely hate that double line look....

but the crease line does go completely straight across and (hopefully) lines up exactly the way the yours is

a lot of times when you see the horizontal line not matching up to the tops of the tail lamps, its the sedan version of the boot lid.
