Tire HELP - Just pulled the VMR V710 18" Trigger
Just pre-ordered the new V710 18" Staggered. I ordered 18x8.5 ET35 and 18x9.5 ET45. And I am needing help on ordering the best tire size.
I have a 01 330i Sport lowered on FK Coilovers. I am going to being ordering Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires. Looking to have as much side wall as I can clear only bc the roads here in Ohio are ridiculous! Tirerack recommends Front: 225/40-18 & Rear: 255/35-18 is this the best set up? Or does any one else have a better suggestions!? Thanks guys! Can't wait to get them on and post the photos!

You don't want to change the overall rolling diameter too much otherwise your speedo/handling will be off with the car.
The tire sizes you mentioned are the the standard sizes for the 3-series 18". Also, on an 18" - unless you drastically change the rolling diameter you won't see that much of a diff in sidewall. With that said, a 235/40 may help on the front. Last edited by tharaka; 04-15-2009 at 02:39 PM. |

Go with a 235/40/18 and 255/35/18 or even a 245 rear tire to be a bit more conservative.

A 235/40-18 and a 255/35-18 will fit just fine on those wheels. You could run the 225 like you said, but get a 235 if you really want to run the most rubber

Looks like Nick & Jurrian took care of you.
Any of the above fitments would work.-Charles@VMRWheels www.vmrwheels.com
