its a great car. get a manual, its more fun to drive. for the 03's its a 5 speed, with sport package its a 6 speed.

Im not a fan of that car... I find it to be kinda ugly, actually.. And that water proof leather is just plain ugly! I would get an s2000 any given sunday! But, that's just my opinion.

I disagree. Don't be leery of the M54 engines (perhaps the most reliable BMW inline 6) as it is less prone to problems than the N52 with the hydraulic valve lifter issues. Do as much reading and research as you can.

The lifter "issue" isn't really an issue. They are noisy. They tick. You hold throttle @ 3k for a few minutes and it goes away. The N52 makes the M54 look and feel like rubbish.

yeah and then the noise comes back. It never really goes away.

My indy has confirmed that BMW is replacing heads on the n52.
