WTS: Custom AR-15 Project

I have slowly been working on this project for about the last 7-8 months or so and decided to go a different direction with my money. Literally all that is left to complete this build is a barrel, bolt/carrier, and charging handle.

The build as you see it below consists of the following (prices represent retail):

Spike's Tactical ST-15 stripped lower - $179.95

JP/VTAC Modular Hand Guard System for rifle length gas system on M15/AR-15 type rifle - $174.95

Magpul PRS Precision Rifle Stock - $242.49

Harris Bipod Model S-BR 6" - 9" Swivel Mount - $87.99

Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard - $18.99

Timney Skeletonized 3lb. Trigger - $239.95

Alexander Arms Complete Grendel® Upper Receiver (minus charging handle) - $120.00

Gas Tube - $11.99

Vltor Low Profile Gas Block - $65.95

Bullet-Button - $25.00 - Will provide original mag release for non-California residents only

Ergo SureGrip Ambi Tactical Deluxe with Adjustable Palm Rest - $51.49

Olympic Arms Pneumatic Buffer - $55.00

Stag A2 Buffer Tube - $22.79

Total: $1,296.54

It also has the rest of the lower receiver parts installed along with one of the Accu-Wedge things made by DPMS to eliminate wobble between the upper and lower receivers, which I have not counted in the total price. I have also not included the initial shipping charges, tax, or FFL fees that I paid initially, so I will be taking a hit on the sale.

These pictures really don't do it justice. Everything is in new condition with no scratches or blemishes whatsoever. I just pulled it out and snapped these pictures in terrible lighting without taking any of the fingerprints or oil spots off. The only thing that isn't 100% would be the bipod because I had used it once at the range on my other rifle. Other than that it is brand new. If anybody wants some better quality pictures let me know and I will get some tomorrow. The last image is of all the parts prior to assembly taken with my cell phone.

The lower was fitted briefly with my completed upper to function test and it is amazing! The pneumatic buffer creates such a smooth action with very little recoil. Makes follow-up shots much easier and helps you keep on target. The trigger has a very short and light pull with an extremely clean break. It really is a dream to shoot. I have put a lot of money into it and it does kind of hurt to let her go but I want someone to take it that will finish it up and give it a good home.

I am located in Orange County, CA and am willing to drive pretty much anywhere within reason to do the transfer at an FFL of buyer's choice or ship at the buyer's expense. As far as price, I am looking for around $1200 OBO. *Buyer pays transfer fees*

If you have any questions regarding any of the parts or if you have a reasonable offer please let me know either through PM or email at nlewis13@gmail.com. Thank you for looking and I hope someone is willing to give her a good home.

-Nick

P.S. In case anyone is wondering what my plans were on this rifle... I was planning to equip it with a custom fluted 24" 6.5 Grendel barrel/bolt and top it off with a high powered scope for long range precision shooting. It is such a versatile platform that you can finish it off however you want and it will be a great, long lasting rifle.

P.P.S. Will only trade for a brand new Remington 1100 Competition. I know it's a long shot but I had to throw it in

yeah, it's posted on Calguns, ar15.com, 65grendel.com, and here so far. I'm trying to sell it ASAP so I'm kind of being a post wh*re with it. Haha. I've gotten a little interest over on Calguns but nothing real serious yet. I'm pretty much only selling it to fund a purchase of a Remington 1100 Competition. Shotguns are more my passion in shooting otherwise I'd be holding onto this.

By the way. Just gave it a quick cleaning and it is imaculate. Not one single defect

The trigger is actually one thing that I am really sad to let go. Such a nice feel and clean break. I was briefly tempted to swap it into my plinker but the money is needed more right now.

yeah, you will be much better off parting out. you also know that the spikes lowers are $100 all day on calguns right? Lots of your suggested retail prices are on the high end of the scale, if you are seriously in need of cash, part it out and make some good deals. further, the mag release doesnt need to be only for "non-california" buyers as it comes in every standard lower parts kit, california or otherwise. Gud luk with your sale tho, nice trigger assy, looks like you were building a nice piece.

Edit: I didnt realize how old this post was.
