OEM Bluetooth volume control

I've installed the OEM bluetooth kit, and it seems to work fine (although people complain about not being to hear me very well, even with the upgraded microphone). However, I can't seem to use the steering wheel/radio volume controls to adjust the volume of the call I'm in.

I'm also using the Dice Silverline module (trunk connection) to control my iPhone 3G. I wondered if the combination of the two (Dice and OEM Bluetooth) had anything to do with this.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues with volume control of bluetooth, or have any ideas on what's happening?

I swapped the position of the microphone and sunroof switch on my car to try to improve the sound for the people I'm calling. The holes are exactly the same, but with a bit of creativity you can get it to work.

Try this as well:
Make a bluetooth call and while in the call, turn up the volume using the iPhone to 80-90%. I think the iPhone stores different volume settings for regular calls vs bluetooth connected calls.
