Woah that is a big piece. Do you know when it's going to be ready? A week? Month? Year?

I'm 100% in.

edit: Just read end of Oct. Hopefully everything will be ready by then.

What makes this a 330 only product? Isn't it the same for the 325?

330's have a 3.5" intake, 325's have a 3.0" intake, unless you have a SULEV 325 with the M56 engine.

will the .5 inch make that much of a difference? I'm sure it'll work but just need to find those metal bands to really clamp it down??? Is this what you mean? The ends will not fit? Will a 330i throttle body fit a 325i, and if I replaced it then would that piece work?? Please provide info, weighing the benefits of just getting the Dinan Throttle body and the intakes to allow extra air into the motor. TIA

With a 3.0" intake, you get a cross sectional area of pi*(3.0/2)^2 = 7.07 square inches, and with a 3.5" intake you get a cross sectional area of pi*(3.5/2)^2 = 9.62 square inches.

So with the larger 330 intake diameter, you get roughly 26.5% more cross sectional area, which from my limited understanding of fluid dynamics, gives room for much more capacity and much reduced flow resistance.

Getting a 3.5" diameter hose to fit a 3.0" throttle and MAF will likely be a huge headache for what it is worth. Simply cranking down on a hose clamp will likely not seal the hose all the way.

The Dinan stuff is much more performance oriented, while the Samco intake boots were more of a quality and longevity improvement and most, if any performance benefit, would be just an added perk.

Small update on the radiator hoses. Got an email from Chad this morning. He said they're coming along VERY well. And, as an added bonus, they've come up with a solution to the stock plastic ends. Will update ASAP.

Radiator hoses should be done VERY shortly. Before the intake boots.

Nope, but I just sent him an email to see when my prototypes will be ready. It's taking a little longer than we thought. Initially, he was going to just have the hose section made and I was going to reuse my plastic ends. He told me recently that they found a solution for the crappy plastic ends. I think this has extended the R&D time. I'll update ASAP, though.

Awesome!

Any ideas on being able to get some technik gen 3 headers? Even having a company develop some.

I've been through 2 sets and actually need a set now

No, I have a few friends looking for them. Samir will make more, but you have to get a group buy going.
