Heated M steering wheel
I have a 2006 330Ci ZHP so it has the thicker wheel M steering wheel i believe. Is there any type of retrofit or kit that i can add a heating component to the wheel? Preferably not too noticeable visually...and as clean a design as possible...
Thanks, Nick |

nope you MUST buy a heated specific wheel. BMW never made an heated sport wheel for the e46.
What you can do is buy an X3 heated sport wheel. It will fit in the e46 and be sporty and give you heated function. follow my DIY: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...steering+wheel Here are the pictures. Nitice it is clean and sporty. This is the M version: This is the basic version: ![]() Both will fit in your car

With some modification, a 2010 wheel from a 3 series with the heated option will also work. There is a thread on here somewhere, which shows how to adapt it to fit. IMO it will look better than using one from the x3.

I'm not completely sure of the specifics, I have a heated wheel in my 2010 328xi the heat button is mounted on the column. If you search the site there is a DIY on adapting the wheels and buttons to work. As far as a sport wheel goes I'm not sure if it has the heated option , you could call your dealer and find out though. I will look for the thread for the DIY and post the link for you.
