50% of marriages end in divorce though so there is a 50/50 chance it was the right decision.

On the other hand, your car will never leave your side... so the odds are in favor of the car mods and not the gf... sorry.

oh btw, did you do it yet?

Hey guys,

Just got back from St. Thomas last night at 1am, and she said yes...as if there was any doubt
Went out to dinner at the Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas and the staff there did a really amazing job. I just asked for a private table for a proposal and they really went all out. I couldn't be happier and they didn't even charge me an extra dime over the cost of dinner, in spite of lots of freebies.

Congrats mate!

This bit, however, does make me a bit trepedatious...

If you have to question it... probably not. Sorry if it sounds a bit rough.

Either way, since you have already taken that step, drag it out, see how compatible you are living together, sharing things.

Thanks for everyone's kind words. I was joking about the making the right decision...but you can't detect sarcasm in text I suppose. I KNOW I made the right decision...couldn't be happier.

The only thing that bums me out sometimes is my family. I just graduated college and they think I'm too young to get engaged (even though they were having kids at my age). Plus my older sisters are being overprotective and I think maybe a little envious. I just wish they could be happy for me...their congratulations seem hollow and fake. I'm 22 and she's 23...both have solid jobs, and have known eachother and dated eachother far longer than anyone else I know, family included. They're also very conservative and don't believe in sharing a bed until marriage. Both my sisters moved in with their husbands right out of college before getting engaged which upset my parents...and I thought they would be happy that Rachel and I "waited".

I realize that 22/23 is still "young"....but what do they expect us to do...get our own separate apartments and pay two rents just so we are older when we're married? Maybe it's just a case of empty nest syndrome

Thanks man...and yes...looks MUCH better short. I just got tired of going to the hair dressers every month or two (which I need to do if i want to keep my hair short). Plus all the girls loved touching it so there was a little motivation to keep it haha.

older siblings are jealous, and as far as the family goes - i agree with you - parents today are forgetting what age they got married.

I was so nervous talking to her dad...and it's always very easy for me to talk to him. Oh well. Off to St. Thomas in the morning and I will come back another engaged fanatic
How did you even bring it up?

Dude I'm so glad. I opened this thread scared that someone bought a sex doll or something instead. Luckily that's not the case.
Anyways, congrats!
