Cutting Cost: Pads or SSBL?

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...D=E46BRAKEPACK

looking to stay under $450 for a complete brake package so TMS looks like my best option (im still open to other sponsors)

my top priority is the 'initial bite'--normal use no racing-- so after searching around it seems that the stainless steel brake line upgrade is a must. the pads im looking at getting are the hawk ceramics, but im looking to cut down on the cost so what would be the best mix and match for a better 'bite'?

1. axxis MM + ssbl

2. axxis ultimate + ssbl

3. hawk ceramic + regular brake lines

for normal street use you will probably notice more difference from better pads than you would from SS lines, I'm assuming you want good bite but want low dust if you are looking at ceramic pads becuase far and away the best initial bite is OEM but they produce a lot of dust

I'd go with option 2. I have slotted discs and Axxiss Ultimates and they're great brakes. I upgraded to SS brake lines on my old Camaro and it made a huge difference in pedal feel. You can't really compare parts quality though so the difference you get might not be so great. I'm still planning on that upgrade at some point though, it's just not a priority.

The Axxiss Ultimates provide slightly less initial bite than OEM, but they seem more linear to me. When this set is worn out I'll get them again.
