Apex ARC-8 17x9 fitment on E46 coupe pics

Hey everyone, Received my new wheels from Apex on Thursday. 17x9 et42 and weigh 16.6lbs each. One of the best packaged wheels I have ever recieved. Opened the box, cardboard cover, followed by wheel wrapped in plastic bag, remove that then you pull the nylon/plastic ring off the front lip of the wheel and under that is the cloth cover that protects the face. No better way to make sure the wheels show up perfectly. Pull them out of the box, and they are super light weight. Finish on the wheels is excellent. Mine are hyper silver. For tires I am using the new Nitto NT-05's in 255/40/17.

Put the wheels on the car, started with an 8mm spacer up front had no issue's clearing the shock body but upon a drive it was rubbing every now and then. Pulled the front spacers this morning, still plenty of clearance and now no issues. and now for the best part, the pictures.

These wheels are specifically for track use. 17's are lighter and 17" track rubber is much cheaper. That's why they are a square setup with 255 all around. I felt a huge difference the second I put them on in acceleration and performance compared to the stock zhp 18's.

They do have 18's coming out, but they are still in the design phase.

These will see their first track day in 2 weeks at Limerock. Would have used them Thursday but they arrived while I was at new hampshire motor speedway.

Car is on Tein s tech springs with a hotchkis front sway set to full stiff. Rotates very nicely on the staggered setup last Thursday (kubica could chime in as he went for a couple rides), should be even better in 2 weeks at LRP.
