sub woofer install. would a high to low converter work with the stock HK headunit?

as the title says... i bought a set of sony 12'' subs with an 800 watt sony amp. i got it all in after fighting with it for a bit but i was wondering (and yes i did search) will a high to low converter work for the stock HK head unit. if so, what wires and what kit should i get?

Yes it will work I got a 12 inch 1500 watt sub and amp in my trunk just get a high low converter and tap in to the wires in the back left of the trunk where the factory amp is and your also gona need a remote wire so you can turn on and off the sub by the radio.
