Identify This Filter

Hello guys, I've had my AFE stage 1 for almost 6 months now but I've just started wondering how I would go about cleaning it. I previously had the K&N drop in filter and its accompanying cleaning and re-oiling kit. I've been using the cleaner from that kit to clean the AFE filter but didn't dare to oil it unless I was sure I could. Here are some pics of my filter, if someone could identify whether this is a dry or oiled filter that would be great. Thanks people

My best guess would be to put the element up to a light source once it has been cleaned. If you see the light through the element, then it may have to be oil.

I base my conclusion on the fact that the K&N you can see light through the element once it has been cleaned.

Give AFE a call and ask about maintenance

Thanks guys, I'll check both of your suggestions. Although I tried contacting AFE, they said to register then send them a picture. Didn't really want to sign up for spam to just ask a question. If there is anyone else that might know for sure off the top of their heads, that would be wonderful. Thanks

Looks like an oiled filter to me but don't take my word for it.

Damn, if that is the case then I haven't oiled it since I've cleaned it twice already.

Is this really that bad? I don't see it having too much of a negative effect.
