window regulator double kill...

i was driving home from work last week and i put my window down so i could smoke a cigarette. when i tried putting it back up it wouldnt listen. i figured my regulator went to heaven. then i tried putting down my other windows just to make sure it was just the regulator that was broke and not something else. my rear-passenger window regulator died during this experiment.. so i drove home from work with my window and the rear passenger-side window down. anyone else have two of their regulators fail within a minute of each other? or is it just my sh1tty luck.

That sounds more like an electronic issue. Are the window motors/regulators making any noises when you try and raise them? Try a battery disconnect and see if that fixes it.

My Ride: BMW 2002 330i
your story is similar to mine, back in 2006, while living in Fort Lauderdale Florida, and while my 2002 330i was under warranty, I took my car to Lauderdale BMW for service. When service was completed, I returned my loaner, then waited for my car to be driven up from their storage area.

My customer rep Max, drove up just after having it washed, rolled down the passenger window, then my car window regulator decided to quit life, snapped, and I watched as my window was swallowed up by my door. He then rolled down my passenger rear window, only to have it happen again. Now both windows were down and out.

Max appologized then stated my regulators would be replaced at their expense and ready tomorrow.

SO yes it can happen at same time, both regulators or even more can die.
