For those of you with gearbox rattle after UUC install

The suggested fluid mixture works.

When I installed it a few months ago, it was cold outside, I didn't notice the rattle until I started using the AC within the last few weeks. I was using the suggested mix of 75W140NS and D4. It was fine when it was cool outside or my AC was off, but it was bothering me. This weekend I switched in the suggested "Hot Climate" mix. Nice and quiet. It's 1 bottle of 75W140NS plus as much MT-90 as you can fit in. My abused transmission has 115k on it and is quiet with the AC on after 2 hours of driving sitting in a Taco Bell drive-thru.

I'm satisfied. Definitely the best mod I've put on the car.

Keep us updated on how you like the "hot climate" blend. I ran this exact blend last summer to see how I liked it in anticipation of getting a LW flywheel. After a couple of weeks, shift feel went downhill and shifting got really finicky. Switched back to my usual RP Synchromax and everything has been fine since. My bad experience with this particular fluid blend is largely responsible for me not wanting to switch to a LW flywheel. I never tried the "normal" D4 blend.

It will still rattle after a day of really hard driving when the car gets really hot.

On autos they come stock, I've never heard of one on a manual e46 but I bet some track/high performance guy has done it.

Interesting idea.

The magic chatter proof mixture worked for me with the UUC organic clutch and JB racing flywheel......The same mixture didn't provide any relief from chatter with a JB racing Flywheel and Clutch Master FX300.

Hows the mixture test holding up? And anyone find out more about the possibility of that transcooler for a manual trans. I installed one on my 01 chevy Z71 silverado, that was camed, tuned, pulleys, intake, shift kit, etc & I loved it.

& on a side note, aggie, the OE M5 clutch plate you used is from an e34 or e39? Thanks
