330ci - Headunit installation, How to?, Stock TV in the way -
Hey guys, i have a Pioneer AVH5950 DVD headunit that i want to install in a 330ci.
The problem is that its got the stock TV tuner in there, and i dont know how im gonna remove that and put the DVD single DIN in there. Also, is there a way where the steering wheel controls can work with the Pioneer DVD headunit. It also supports Bluetooth. Thanks in advance guys! MRXTCZ |

To remove the oem screen. you need special tools (or, if you are patient, you can pull the two tabs behind the screen using a punch).
You need to buy a frame from the dealer for the radio (this will hold the radio + HVAC controls) You also need to buy a lower frame + storage pocket. You need an aftermarket antenna adapter, wiring harness and trim kit. Since the tuner is on the back, you need to extend the antenna wire and all the radio harness wires (power, ignition, lights, ground, speakers, turn-on, etc) to the trunk. For steering wheel controls, you need an adapter (pac swi-ps or swi-x; check www.pac-audio.com for compatibility of the ps model with your unit). |
