FS: 2005 330i ZHP Performance Package
I'm regrettably selling my 2005 330i ZHP.
This is car is absolutely amazing and I love it. It's the perfect cross between the 330i and an M3, it's civilized when you need it to be and aggressive when you want it to be.
I'm selling the car because I need a more practical car. As much as I love this car, it's not the right car for me at this point in my life.
I want it to end up with an owner who can truly appreciate the car and realize its potential.
Without further ado, here's all the information about the car.
The color combo is Silver Gray on Black, which looks gorgeous.
It's has a 6-speed manual transmission.
The mileage is 63,xxx.
I purchased it from the original owner in December who was an older man who used it only on the weekends and babied it. He was moving out of the country to live on his yacht in the Bahamas and no longer needed it.
90% of the miles on it are highway miles and it shows in the condition of the car. It looks like it has about half the miles that it actually does.
I have all of the original paperwork including all service records which were performed at a local BMW dealer in Springfield, Massachusetts. I even have the window sticker.
Options are as follows: Silver Gray Metallic, Black Leather, Cold weather Package, Performance Package (ZHP), Multi-Function Steering Wheel, Glass Moonroof, Rain Sensor and Auto Headlight, Xenon Headlights, Harman-kardon Sound System. It had a Suggested retail price of $43,920.
Mechanically the car is perfect. Shifts like new and clutch is nice and tight.
The previous owner had the 60k Inspection II maintenance performed.
I took it in to my BMW dealer for a check and to get the parking brake adjusted after I bought it.
It has brand new Bosch windshield wipers. I also replaced the front mats with the matching BMW rubber mats. All original mats are included.
The interior looks just about perfect, even the pictures do not do it justice.
The paint on the exterior shines and looks great.
Here's cosmetically what's wrong on the exterior and there's very little, I'm mentioning this so I can be completely straightforward with the buyer and they don't have any surprises. I value honesty in a seller and I know the buyer appreciates it.
The paint has a few small scratches and paint chips but nothing that you wouldn't expect or that's noticeable unless you're really looking.
The exterior has two scratches that came on the car, one on lower passenger side of front spoiler and one on rear driver side on the bottom. They're both nothing major and nothing I ever really saw let alone that bothered me.
The only other problem cosmetically is I scratched my two passenger side wheels on the outer edge of the rim. The rear passenger wheel is barely noticeable. The front is the worst and I've included it as the last picture. I'm pretty sure these could be brought back to new condition and it's something I could get done for the buyer if they were interested.
I'd give the interior a 10/10.
I'd give the exterior a 9/10.
The final thing to discuss are the tires.
Currently the front passenger side tire is different from the others on the car. The reason is explained below.
I originally had 4 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires on my car. I noticed a bubble in my front passenger side tire about a week ago, a day before I was going to take the car home with me, and I needed to make sure the car would be safe on the 3 hour trip. The easiest solution was to replace just that one tire with a Primewell PZ900 in the same dimensions from Firestone which I did. I haven't driven the car since.
My original thought was to replace all 4 tires before I listed the car for sale since the others were running low on tread anyway. Since then I've decided it would be better to leave the tires the way they are and let the buyer put their tires of choice on the car. I've reflected this in my asking price. If the buyer would prefer that I replace the tires myself, it's definitely something we could work out.
I also have a pair of 17" 7-spoke BMW wheels with Blizzaks with good tread left on them for the winter that will be included with the car.
I have both sets of keys including valet key, manual, and all original paperwork and service records.
The future owner of this car will be a very lucky person. I want to stress that I am in no way selling this car because there's anything wrong with it, but because it's not the right car for me. This is a car someone could keep a lifetime and love every minute of driving it. ZHP's are in very high demand and rightfully so, they are in my opinion the best BMW out there. They are the ultimate driving machine.
Because of the condition of this car and the fact that there are very few ZHP's for sale anywhere, the starting price for the car will be $20k.
I also may be interested in taking a partial trade of an e36 328i with tasteful mods, not too many miles, and a 5 speed or a higher mileage e36 m3.
Pictures I just took of the car can be found here:
Feel free to send me a private message with any questions you may have or shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
I'm located in Long Island, NY.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my car.

I've made a shorter version of my original post for people who don't want to sit around and read the whole thing. Thanks!
I'll try to to list the facts of my car as succinctly as possible:
Silver Gray Metallic
Cold weather Package
Performance Package (ZHP)
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
Rain Sensor and Auto Headlight
Harman-kardon Sound System
- Regular Oil & Filter Service performed at dealer.
- At 56k miles, 60k mile service performed including oil and filter change, air filter change, cabin filter change.
- At 61k miles, I had oil and filter changed and parking brake adjusted at BMW dealer.
- Just had wheel alignment performed.
This is all that's been done to the car that I have records for. Original owner stated that he did not have one problem with the car and it needed nothing except regular maintenance.
I would recommend new owner changes spark plugs since I believe they are the originals, otherwise nothing else needs to be done.
- Car is mechanically perfect and looks amazing.
- Purchased from original owner who babied car and I've only put 5k miles on since then in the 5 months I've owned it.
- Best color combo in my opinion.
- Mostly highway miles.
- Comes with spare set of BMW wheels wrapped in Blizzaks.
- Both sets of keys, all original service records and paperwork.
- Passenger side wheels have some curb rash. Nothing that couldn't be fixed.
- Back tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's with about 40% tread. Front tires do not match and I would have replaced them if I was keeping the car.
- One scuff on the front spoiler on passenger side and one on rear bottom half of driver side. Never bothered me.
I'm a little bit negotiable on the price, so if you're looking at this car and think it might be the car for you, get in contact with me! Thanks.

I'm gonna be in the market for a 4 door, 6-speed ZHP in the fall. Your car is beautiful. It is a little more than I want to spend but if you still have it in around October maybe we can do business. I have an 01 coupe now but am looking to get into a 4 door.

Currently I have a sale pending, but if the car is still available down the road I hope we can do business.
