good luck getting into Masa, and be prepared to drop a G for dinner for two. Try the place next door, Bar Masa. Or, if you're into a unique sushi dishes, try Sushi Samba

im surprised i forgot this, this is amazing, and theres one in long island like 20 minutes from the bronx too in Carle Place, but its not really high class its like a relaxed sushi buffet.

theres a spot called hokkaido by my house too but i think its prob just another name.

didnt hear of any you mentioned, and yea Masa is NUTS, i think its the #1 spot in NYC im supposed to go there in june

never been there but im going with a friend so i'm withholding my mod money LMAO, and shes payin for herself so its the first dinner i'm not paying for both ways. i was lookin @ the review on google and they seem mixed, but zagat rated it one of the tip top places. i know if you cancel your reservation 48 hours before your dinner, its a $200 fee on your CC. crazy.

all this convo about sushi is making me want some

ok words of advice. play it safe. alot of ppl dont like sushi the 1st time cus they order the wrong things.

get california rolls
and a tuna roll, usually everyone likes those, you can be more adventurous on ur appetizers, and maybe get a cooked entree? i have a hard time gettin ppl 2 like sushi but everyone likes those 2 main things. you're gonna like it tho its great
