I was thinking about doing the same package. I'm still in the deciding stage. If I find anything new I'll post it up here

Dont cheap out on brakes, its one of the most important systems on your car. I get all my brake parts from BMP. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, and you know they are quality parts. Plus their shop is only about 10 minutes away from my house
![]() They supply ATE slotted rotors and brake fluid (good stuff IMO) and I cant remember what brand brake pads, but the are dustless and perfect for everyday street use. Cost ~ $200 just for the front. Last edited by JSanders; 06-03-2009 at 01:59 PM. |

Tischer BMW has a great package
granted, it's about $500 total(rotors/pads/sensors for both front and back), but you know you're getting genuine parts from genuine people haha

I love tischer, but if you get that package it comes with the oem pads, I believe. I don't like the oem pads: too grabby at the top.

You get oem brand rotors such as ate or Zimmerman so what makes them cheap I also got ate brake fluid from it too.

I have no issues with the Turner OEM type rotors (Z-coat Zimmerman) and Metal Master pads. Performance is as advertised on the web site.

Let me know if you want a quote for Akebono Euro Ceramic pads + Brembo Blank rotors.

I don't know, I think our stoptech stage 2 kit is pretty good deal(kit also available in the ultimate pads): http://www.modbargains.com/product.a...e46-brakes0016

It would be awesome if someone would buy each of the oem-style rotors for a comparison, because they are not all the same. |

He wouldn't put OEM style rotors and Metal Master pads?? Why?

He doesn't like the rotors. Says they are cheap and not as good as the real oem ones.
He recommends Akebono ceramics, not metal masters. Use what you want. I'm just passing on what he told me. I use performance friction pads on BMW rotors. |

I've had good luck with the Zimmerman rotors. I prefer the Ate rotors, seem to be marginally better quality. I wouldn't use the PBR Metal Master pads, myself. I like Ate, Pagid or Jurid for OEM replacement. Performance Friction is a nice upgrade as well as Hawk if you're looking for a bit more braking performance.
