Question Good deal on 04 330ci?

Was going to get a e92 07 but said I might split the cost, and invest the rest so I'm thinking about this

2004 330ci, 46k miles.

SMG TRANSMISSION,
SPORTS PACKAGE
PREMIUM PACKAGE
COLD WEATHER PACKAGE
SUNROOF,
17 INCH SPORT M RIMS,
M STEERING WHEEL,
HARMAN KARDON SOUND SYSTEM,
XENON LIGHTS,
CD PLAYER.

Car is mint condition, drives well currently. No mods/accidents/etc.

asking 19k, but pretty sure can get it at 17k

Private Party, not dealership
My concern is

1) ssg/smg - people say it's prone to problems
2) no warranty
3) not zhp

Very good deal, maybe able to drop a $K or so, those coupes are hard to find, I would grab it if ready to buy, those SMG trannys do you take the foot of the gas to shift like manuals?

I don't think those are M3 wheels (17").

I don't think that is an M3 Steering wheel.

Nice looking car though, low miles, clean. Check kelly Blue Book prices.

When i bought my e46 a year ago i bought an extended warrenty from a separate company. If your really worried about that i think you should go with that route and get this very nice e46. You will love it and i personally think it looks alot better than any new e92s. Oh and i have yet to have any problems with my 330 than a sway bar link. (knock on wood)

dude those r not m3 wheels theyre just 330 sports and as an experienced salesman my advice to u is to try as hard as possible to drop atleast 3k cuz on these used cars especially the dealers mark up is relle high. if they buy it for 12 they sell it for 17500 or round there etc. etc. warranty? u can buy it when u go into finance but i wouldnt buy warranty since im modding my car which would void the warranty but the car looks great and good luck!

I am buying it from a private party, not a dealer.

Can we confirm those are not m3 rims/wheel? that's false advertising!

As for the smg you don't take your foot off the gas.

Just a sport wheel and ///M wheels, not M3 wheels.

Probably still a bit high.

I know where you can find an 01 e39 M5 for 20k with 79k miles on it. Much better deal.

M3 wheels are not 17", and never that style. Those are just 17" sport wheels. The M3 steering wheel does not have the split bottom spoke. That's also just a sport steering wheel. The M3 wheel has one fat spoke as below.

Get a pre-purchase inspection. If it all checks out, go for it. I would offer $16-17. Nice that it has all the options.

You can easily swap in a real M3 wheel, which is thicker and has better feel.

i wouldnt pay more than 15 to a 2004 at that miles. maybe 16. at the end its 2004.

but if you really want the exact car(colors, packs, smg, miles), than its difficult to find another same. get it..

What exactly is hard to find about that coupe? It being an SMG tranny? Well, most wouldn't care.

19k is way too much for that car. Looks like you're already hooked though. Listen to the advices you received on bimmerfest. You can get yourself a nice ZHP for that much!

About the rims, the seller probably meant to say "M rims" instead of "M3 rims". You don't want to get M3 rims on this car anyways. It wouldn't fit right and doesn't look as good IMO.

Well im pretty sure he'll accept 17k. Also i tried looking for the zhp and its not going so good, plus most of them are 20-24k.

Well, lets start from the bottom and work up. Thats not an M3 wheel, its the oem sport pkg one, i have it too, but WHAT IS THAT TRANNY??? i had no idea they put the smg in the '04 330i's, im completely amazed. Unfortunately, the flappy paddles aren't m3 style, with one up, one down. heard it gets on people's nerves, dont know about u though. Thats awesome, looks like a super clean car though.

also, the wheels have an ///m badge on them, ive seen them everywhere. they arent specifically M3 wheels, but they are from the motorsport division as an option on the sport package.
