My Ride: 2002 BMW 325i 5spd
my "new" 02 325i

i just picked up my first bmw and love it. 325i 5spd all stock, but ive noticed one thing i havent noticed on any other car ive driven. when i park in my drive way (fairly steep) and pull the e brake and i let off foot brake the whole car seems to settle. i not sure if its normal or if somethings wrong with it but it does it on any slant over 30 degrees or so. what do you guys think?

thanks

My car does this too. I have to park, take my foot off the brake, let it settle, and then put it in gear. I don't want the weight of the car resting on my transmission gears!

The parking brake is a drum type brake, so you fell the shoes grabbing the inside of the rotor.

GL Congrats on the new car
