Haha thanks, didn't notice the rather large font on my phone.

So after I got home & continuing today, I noticed my right collarbone had a red mark and was sore (so assuming the bar had spent some time there) and my right shoulder doesn't have much bar related soreness. My left shoulder where the shelf should be is sore, and the left collarbone is untouched/not sore.

What is wrong with my form/rack position?? I spent significant time (especially on the 185) to rack and re-rack, finding the shelf. I was in slight discomfort, but not pain (which I'm assuming is correct).

My lower back is also killing me, and it is starting to annoy me because I know my deadlift form is good. Didn't hurt after the workout, but started to before bed. I think I may have tweaked it slightly on last rep of 275, but still... ridiculous. Doesn't feel like DOMS either.

Lower back felt better later on today.

I thought overhead press after bench would be effected but didn't realize just how much. I'm moving the 3 sets to my lower day, after front squats and deadlifts.

Bench press
190x3
175x4
155x5

Overhead press
120x1 (barely got it up, usually do 5).
Stopped.

Incline DBs
60'sx8
60'sx8
60'sx8

Pendlay rows (finally got the form down)

115x3
115x5
135x5

Wide grip pull-ups (go until next rep will have form degrade)

7
5
4

Liked the workout minus OHP issue.

Made sure I had a large lunch and this dinner

Took afternoon off friday to golf so didn't get to gym, and was gone all weekend. Have hockey tonight and Thursday, and flying to wedding Friday all weekend which leaves two workout days.

Going to do both my lower and upper hypertrophy split tue/wed for this week, see how the workout goes.

Calves were still sore from wednesday... couldn't believe it.

Lower Hypertrophy workout, I felt like puking multiple times

Squats (Mobility was good today, been working on it. Got ass to touch calves on some reps. Lower weight helped with control too compared with 5 reps)

205 x 8
185 x 10
165 x 11
135 x 12 (this set was too easy, just realized I'm terrible at math obviously because I wanted to take 15 lbs off and I went "135 is close enough to 140"). 150 it is next time

RDL's

155 x 10
155 x 10
155 x 10

Leg Extensions (forgot how much these suck)

100 x 15
110 x 15
120 x 15 (this is the weight I'll use for all 3 next time)

Standing Calf Raises (/ | \ for foot position every 7 reps)
3 x 21

Legs are killing me

Awesome man. I'm hoping with the new type of leg stuff we're both doing we see some growth. I really want to wear speedos next summer. That's a joke. Check my personal training thread. I need some quick advice

Yeah I got a lot stronger last year weight wise, but i am still relatively the same size.

My legs are in actual pain today, I can tell the DOMS is going to come with a fury.

Doing incline bench today, I've always touched my chest on the lift but I think I should be stopping when my elbows are parallel with the ground?

I was taught to always touch the bar or dumbbells to your body in almost any lift. Anything less is partial reps, which is fine if you're doing partial rep work.

I'm going to play with it a bit, when the bar touches my chest my elbows are past my lats. I do touch on flat without shoulder pain

I want to go as low as possible before the load gets primarily taken from chest to delts, because I've had pain in the past

Was sick with flu from Wednesday until Saturday. Then had a wedding.

Played hockey Monday and Tuesday, and it felt great to be back in gym today.

Front squats were done with really good form I think, used a two finger grip and had it sitting nicely on my delts. Hoping to move up to 205 by aug 15.

Swapped deadlifts to upper power day with overhead press.

Front squats
195x3
185x4
170x5

Overhead Press
120x5
115x5
110x5

Leg Press

360 (8 plates) x 10
360x10
360x10

Leg press was brutal

Calf raises
185x21x3

On a sad note, the only other people using the power racks were women who were squatting. Not a single guy touched a non chest related barbell exercise in the over 60 minutes I was there. Just unreal.

It's crazy to me how little people care about their legs. That's probably the one thing I want to grow the most right now. I see dudes legs and I'm like dammit I want that lol

Upper power day. My theory that deadlift would be ok after heavy bench proved to be ok.

Bench
190x3
175x4
155x5

Incline DBs
70'sx6 (PR)
70'sx6
70'sx5

Deadlift
315x2 ... Couldn't get third up. Singles
295x2

Pendlay rows... Gonna go down in weight and work on form. Killed my lower back

135x3
115x4

Wide grip pull-ups
7
5
4

I think you're right. Deadlifts after bench wouldn't be affected as much as bench would after deads IMO

Figured I'd be completely drained if I deadlifted first, even though I would prefer to. Couldn't believe how much overhead press was affected by benching first last week, lost all shoulder strength. Glad this worked out given the minimal options and tight programming.

Since you're mentioning hypertrophy, is the goal of this all still size? If so, any updated pics? I'm curious to see if I.F. Is producing better results than we'd expect from non-I.F. nutrition.
