Anyone tried these boxes?
http://www.wickedcas.com/home.php?cat=10
They have custom boxes for e46 sedan, coupe, and convertible. I am really interested because it takes up ZERO trunk space...and that I could put an IDMAX in it. No idea why there are no volume specs for the boxes, but I could ask and find out. Anyone tried these boxes or purchased anything from this place? I am tired of my terrible pre-fabbed ported box taking up all of my trunk space and sounding crappy because its too big and incorrectly tuned.

Wow, looks pretty good. Box + sub is in the same ballpark as Bavarian Soundwerks' box, which includes an amp and also leaves a lot of trunk space.
Then again if you don't mind spending more $$$ you can end up with JL 10w7 or a top end sub and amp and keep most of your trunk. Better yet call them up and ask for two boxes, one for each side...

From what I've seen here, those boxes are pretty good. I know a couple of people have put W7s in them, not sure if it was a 10 or 12. The IDMax's are pretty deep so I'd check to see if they fit.
IDMax's are pretty flexible on box size so that should be too much of an issue. IDmax is a top end sub...IMO...better than a W7 in a small sealed box. |
