I bought a 1999 323i e46 and got a Check engine light ( crankshaft sensor ). The autoshop replaced the crankshaft sensor and cleared the sensor code and it came back up again. They said they checked the crankshaft itself but found no issues there. I have very little power on take off, however on the top end it has plenty of power and it uses up a lot of petrol.
PLEASE HELP!!! Last edited by robe4699; 08-10-2012 at 06:40 PM. |

There are 2 Camshaft position sensor have you confirmed which side was bad and which side was replace?
The same code came back? Or just the CEL? Other issues can cause same symptoms. |

Thanks for your reply.... Ive updated the post, it was actually the crankshaft sensor which is causing the error no the cam sensor. What do you recommend???
