Angel eyes Baking

Did i do something wrong when i installed my angel eyes?

I installed Angel eyes in my 2003 Pre-Facelift 330ci and didn't have to bake the lights.

I helped install also in a 2004 325 Sedan and didn't have to bake the lights.

I also removed from a 2002 328 Sedan and placed them into another 328 Sedan for a friend and didn't bake the lights.

Yet in the instructions from some DIY threads i read that people actually have to bake their lights for the clue to come off and to reconnect, but my lights just popped off with clips? Anybody know what i'm missing here?

My Ride: E46 M3 Coupe
You did it all right; I believe it is only the facelift E46 coupe with the one piece headlight/signal housings that need to be baked apart.

I think the only "problem" is that the OP wasn't sure if he disassembled and reassembled his headlights correctly since he was able to pry them apart without baking. Likely meaning his concerns were that they may no longer be waterproof if he hadn't done it right or they might, at some point, fall apart on him since there was no glue invold.
