Hes had:

First BMW at 27 years old, but 3 BMWs per year after that. I'd like to see his collection.

Does an 850Csi M-Sport count?

Given there were many different versions sold in Europe (lots of hard core packages, different engine options, ect.)

AND he could have owned 2 M cars that were very similar...

Pretty impressive. I've had 15ish? Mostly E30s. I stopped counting a while back.

Apart from the above, the only one missing that I can think of is the 3.0 CSL - the first M car. However, I, too, am wondering if the 850csi was considered an M car...it had an M vin and motor, but I don't know the specifics.

Apparently the 850Csi was an "unofficial" M car. Along with an E28 535, these cars were made by the M division, but aren't officially considered M's. Something tells me this guy must have owned an 850 (its one of BMWs on supercars), but I don't know whether they counted it or not.

If someone could find a complete list of what cars this guy had that'd be awesome

E46 M3 GTR possibly...

And that E36 M3 has two versions, 3.0L and 3.2L, in Europe.

The E30 M3 has a number of versions as well. He might have owned them all too.
