I have a freestanding box and put the amp on the back of the seat so I can pull the box when necessary. All I do is loosen the caps, pull the wires, and it's all good. It takes <2 minutes.. and I don't need to mess with the amp wiring.

Amp was mounted right to the back of the box .. it worked ok, but I would have done it differently (paid someone for the install .. mistake number one haha) .. my new setup is going to be a single 12 .. still trying to decide on where to mount the amps though

It's pretty much do something crazy custom, or mount it to the back of the box Depending on the size of the amp the rear seats will probably be to small to mount to, however with your sedan that might not be a problem if they don't fold

I don't have any room. I designed the box to be same angle as the back seat and the front of the box vertical and there's only a few inches above the box, and the HK subs are in the way

Remove the HK subs.. I did since they would be easy as pie to reinstall. That way you can mount it to the back of the seat and still keep the clean look.

If that's not an option, look into installing it under the mat/above the spare. If you have a small amp it might be possible.

Haha damn.. well what about removing the HK sub, moving the box forward, and installing on the seat? It's either that or a random spot in the trunk AFAIK.
