My only real question regards the throttle body and the adapter plate. If only 2 bolts are used, does it stay tight on the Manifold? And the throttle body wire, how hard is it to re-arrange it?

they stay on tight, the 3rd post i did with pictures, the last picture shows the two bolts used. Throttle cable is a snack just clip it on the throttle body itself and then have someone press the gas pedal all the way and then just adjust it accordingly with the screw the throttle cable has

I don't know why you are so set on giving poor advice, but I know of numerous race teams and top level tuners that switch the B25 manifold out for B30s and see substantial gains. Edit: I guess what needs to be acknowledged is the context of this conversation. I think every one of the engines I'm referencing are fairly "built" with different cams. On a stock engine, I'm inclined to agree that the B25 may be best for the B25. My frame of mind is very rarely stuck in "stock" configurations..... Sorry for the sidetrack. Did you read what I posted? According to the post, a person contacted Will directly. Will was quoted as saying there were no gains in horsepower to be had, but the manifold did move the torque curve around, though it was not specified how.

Looks good man! You're M52TU head has the D shape ports too though, as well as your intake manifold, along with the M54 manifold
![]() I have a b30 manifold already, I just need to get the DISA and the TB adapter plate.

I would say it's worth it for the DISA, alone. Having seen the same motor with and without DISA I can say the low-end torque gains are subtantial.
Why couldn't you use the M54b30 throttle body? |

I'm not that familiar with M52tu, but looking at the picture it looks like a DBW TB. What's the big plastic lump on the side?
Reason I'm interested is because I have an M54b30 intake on an m54b30 engine with an M50 throttle body that was necessary for the OBD1 conversion. I WOULD like to be able to use the orignal M54 TB because it fits with all 4 screws (I'm only using 2, also!). To accomplish this, I'm working on a standalone electric throttle to electric throttle body interface. I have the prototype working nicely in the lab, I can input a sinusoidal signal off my signal generator and watch the TB respond. Open-close-Open-close... The best part about it is that the Egas pedal is SMOOTH! It uses a full H-bridge with a motor control MOSFET. I'll have the car test running on it in a few days. I won't install it until massive testing, but it's getting close. www.seattlecircuit.com |
