My Ride: has a D-Pillar
BMW Concept SX

Looks very interesting...I really like the front and many of the lines.

But what segment is this?!? Is this an R8 fighter? Is it a new 6-series? A new 8-Series???

What do you guys think?

The front fascia reminds me of a Z4M (last gen, obviously) and the rear lights look like an Aston Vantage.

If they aren't going to make an R8 competitor, this would make a badass 6er

With a 6-speed manual, 550hp 4.4L V8tt, and carbon ceramic brakes, this would be one badass M6...

Then they could make a lighter M6 CSL...

We will never see this! As much as id love to see BMW manufacture a R8 killer, they care more about X6M's for the soccer moms! Concept looks amazing though!!!

That's some pretty cool styling right there.

I'd buy it.

IF BMW ever made that car, I'd have to be badged as an 8 series. The 8 series was always the closest BMW ever came to a true GT car. This would be a great competitor to the Maserati GranTurismo, Aston DBS, Ferrari California and maybe even the Audi R8.

Looks like someone wants to compete with the Nissan GTR. With all these supercar concepts lately Im assuming we'll see one within the next couple of years so long as the economy cooperates. BMW will need to do something to balance out the inevitable fail of the 5 Series GT.

That's nowhere near a Camaro. The Ferrari 575M looks more like a Camaro. I know this because DinanS3's 575M gets called a Camaro by idiots all the time. I could understand if you said DB9 or XKR. But Camaro? BIG stretch.

I disagree w/ that, what kind of soccer mom is gonna be driving a x6m? They put leadership and driving dynamics first.
