The 'Vert Roll Call is still over on M3F. It's gotten really huge, but it's boring there and the moderators will lash out depending on who you are, and what you represent.

Some can get away with racing posts, while others (myself included) receive infractions. Not today - something else. I also got banned from there today (5 days - LOL). Been splitting my time between forums - this makes it a lot easier. More variety over here anyway.

My man Scott (AsianJedi) started the thread several years ago and it's been going, although it's dulls-ville now. Scott also also coined 'Vert Thugs! I've been very active with the 'Vert fellas, but I'm no longer going to M3 Forum.

If not for E46 Fanatics I never would have found ESS!

I do miss my old setup, but honestly I absolutely love the OEM 19! I've received many compliments on them. I'll be putting another set of BBK behind them - miss my old Brembo (and need them now). But my first priority is getting another set of race header/cats and jumping up to the CFR600 - swap out the blower and a larger intercooler.

My former mods. Pretty much the first commercial/complete V-CSL M3 'Vert - back from 2006/07

No where near the power now! Although it had OEM CSL Headers/Cats, SS X-Pipe, Eisenmann Race, D/A Race S/W. Figure 310 RWHP compared to 420 now. Good stuff though and I was happy with the power back then.

Tommy "TANK" M3 beast.

So much for backward looking. LOL

I dig the present

As you know I love your vert Gerard! It looks lean and mean!

I need to get some up todate pics of my ride on here as well...

I have wanted to ask you, but keep forgetting...

Why did you take off the black plastic engine shroud on the nose of the engine?

I saw it again in the pic you posted below...

glad other ppl are finally starting to see the light about m3forum. The moderators themselves are the thugs over there, unless you cower and bow down and kiss their feet, or unless you are Nik and the rest of the VF crew. then you can get away with murder over there while everyone else gets an infraction for supporting another vendor.

now on to the pics.......I will take some better ones once the car gets back from Portland from my upgrades.

and one of the wifes car...no mods yet but oh well, she loves it

Bruce, that was for clearance issues associated with the blower and tubing in the engine bay, and the nose with the FMIC.

Thanks Pal!

Your car is a FREAKING BEAST. Nice to see your wife joined in. Love that interior!

I'm sick of M3F. While I don't want to make the thread about them, I'll find another one for that, they basically took some things out on me that I felt didn't warrant it. I was on that forum since 2005 and have lots of friends there. Fortunately, most come here as well. I went into the issue there with eyes wide open, so I knew what I was in for.

So, my mission now is to get those fellas that aren't over here to this place. They're going to see it's a much better forum.

This forum has a lot more variety of not only cars, but vendors and f/i tuners, especially mine - ESS.

Anyway, I'm done there. It's only a 3-day ban, but I figure I really don't want to go back. I've found it difficult to spend much time in both forums and since going F/I I've spent more time here. All my local friends reside here too.

That's interesting they're referenced this way. Perhaps the design channels the air. I haven't noticed any overheating with the car, although it runs at center on the dial, and it doesn't waste any time getting there. I also notice the fans runs a lot, however, I think (not sure) that's always been the case.

Yeah my fan runs all the time too... Now what is interesting is that I think the removal of that shield may actually cool the engine better, not vice-a-versa... Perhaps its to keep engine heat away from the radiator?

I might try it when we are back into the 100+ weather. Perhaps at the end of next week, as starting tomorrow the temps are suppossed to drop into the low 90s again...

Hey I also see you are still using that aluminum cap. I removed mine, as it didnt seal well enough. Have you had any issues with your engine cover yellowing? Mine is toast...

About M3F, to bad I cant transplant my fiftyfour 100% positive itrader feedbacks from there to here!
