Currently at 105k; replaced the clutch at 95k. I get the SMG "overheating" issue once in a while but that's when it's 95deg+ outside and I've been driving the car straight for over 3-4 hours in stop and go traffic; it's not really an issue and I believe the solution is to replace a temp sensor.

Thanks! They're Maya MRS. mayawheels.com seems to be gone now, though, along with dazzmotorsports.com which was like a parent site.

I just drove my M3 from Austin, TX across New Mexico, Arizona, and into San Diego, then up the 101/PCH/Hwy 1 all the way up the California coast, Oregon coast, and Washington coast and over to Seattle.

That was over 3000 miles and 7 days of long, hard, hot driving, and not a single SMG hiccup. I kept it in the full shift mode 6 with DSC off for the whole trip except when we ran into a little drizzle outside Seattle.

101 north of San Francisco out by Big Sur and Carmel is a massively epic drive. It should be a required experience for any serious driving enthusiast.

My SMG has been the only thing to go wrong with my car to date. I had the whole transmission replaced at 85k under warranty. It just went out on me one day and would not shift into any gears, there were no signs it was going out. Good news.. I didnt have to replace the clutch before that. Now my car has 107k on it and still running strong, the new SMG shifts great.

13K miles, no issues....though I suppose that's not really high milage is it? I'll add that I'm very happy with the technology in general and it may steer me towards the new M3 when the time comes rather than a used P-car which is saying something.
