FS: Dinan High Flow Throttle Body for 330i

SOLD!

thanks guys!

I have one *brand new* Dinan Throttle Body for a 330i, Ci, ect. It's a little dusty in the pictures but that's it. Comes with the warranty tag and seals. It has never been installed, just sat in the box for a couple of months. My BMW dealer had a close out on Dinan parts and they just wanted this gone. You guys know I'm a legit member so buy it!

Price: $500 shipped, firm. Normally goes for $799 + shipping

EDIT: Shipping is included in the $500 price point for domestic sales only. I can't justify lowering the price for international sales. If you live out of the U.S, you have to eat the shipping costs, I won't.

Low ballers will just aggravate me.

I know this is kind of a n00b thing to ask. But with a stage 3 software upgrade what could I expect as far as hp/tq. Even just throttle response or feel? Also is this a DIY? Thanks

No worries my friend. This is straight off Dinan's website:

Quote:
HIGH FLOW THROTTLE BODY
Dinan's High Flow Throttle Body improves intake air flow for additional horsepower and torque gains. The internal diameter of the stock 330 throttle body is bored larger for a 9% increase in air flow area. The resulting increase in air flow provides more horsepower and torque throughout the rpm range with noticeably quicker throttle response.

Part # D760-3300A

Labor Hours 1.5

Price $799.00

Emission Status 50 State Emissions Legal

Maximum Horsepower Gain 6 @ 6500 rpm

Maximum Torque Gain 5 lb/ft @ 6500 rpm

Point Value 2

Peak Horsepower 240 @ 5900 rpm*

Peak Torque 224 lb/ft @ 3500 rpm*

Special Notes Stage 3 Engine Software Highly Recommended.

As you can see, I don't have a 330. I have a 328Ci. This has never been installed on any car so I dont know the effects of it personally. I just know that people are hot for this Dinan TB, apparently you dont see it very often. I have taken off my TB for cleaning though and it wasnt very hard to do. But then again I've done a lot to my car so maybe everything is easy to me now. I would say it's a DIY job though

Will work on a 325. Ideally of course you should tune your ECU with the larger bore. But it will work just fine.

I posted a thread on bimmerfest with the bore diameters in 2002.

325 stock (61mm) vs Dinan (76mm)
330 stock (71mm) vs Dinan (77mm)

Of course, assuming Dinan's bore numbers are still the same.

I read somewhere that the 330 tb mounting holes will not line up with the 325 manifold. Or Dinan is different?

Yea I would definitely get the stage 3 software from Dinan.

If you have a 325, then you can just get a 330 intake manifold and the tb should line up perfectly....
