Carry at work?
We have a policy that doesn't allow those who carry, even with a CHL, to carry into our building at work. We can keep the gun in our car but will be fired if caught inside the building.
Do any of y'all have a similar policy and carry regardless? Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Bimmer App

![]() I am in the same boat. Carrying a weapon is grounds for termination. In before "leave your job, quit, that's BS, you suck and don't support the second amendment if you don't quit blah blah blah".

My employer claims they terminate people who carry. Better to be unemployed and alive rather than dead and I'll leave it at that. I'm not saying I do carry and I'm not saying I don't.

I thought the gun sub-section would have better finger discipline.
Regardless, same policy as OP. I however rarely do have my weapon in the car because we typically travel to schools which is a huge no-go.

My employer frowns upon us if we don't carry.

No carrying at work per company policy. Most of our clients have similar policies as well.

We have a no firearms on premises policy. Sucks cuz we go into some nasty neighborhoods at all hours of the night. I've been accosted several times. All I have is a crowbar.

Many companies have that because of liability. Guess you need to weigh your options. Alive + carrying > Dead + unarmed?

No express policy from my employer, but I know of a case involving termination for an incident involving the carry of weapons at client sites.
My client has a no weapons policy in their building.

I'm jealous of your awesome states. I can barely carry a weapon in my own home. California

I have a legal right to carry in my workplace. Company policy states otherwise, so it is a personal choice whether to carry and know that you're likely facing termination if caught, or not carry and be in the clear.

A few years ago when my buddy worked at a gas station one his co-workers carried on his shift because they would constantly get robbed. I don't think he did to try to prevent any robberies but protect himself and other co-workers if things escalated. |
