Switch ESS intercooler with AA? Problemos?
Hey Guys,
I was wondering is it possible to switch the TS2 intercooler to the AA version as I think the AA version looks alot better? Would this interfere with the current ESS tune?

You would need to remove the compressor and mount it somewhere else , build an intake and route piping from the compressor through the AA intercooler up to your manifold.
Or you could just look for another heat exchanger that looks better. |

Would it not be possible to just get the dimensions of the AA intercooler and look for different hoses to and thats all? Currently the ESS system is just from intake to pump to heat exchanger back to intake. Is it not possible to just replace the heat exchanger with AA's or is there some design specification I am missing?

Only realized the AA intercooler was Air to Air and the ESS water to Air. Oops![]() May look into just a bigger silver heat exchanger instead!

Wow!
![]() Did the ESS hoses fit directly on? Those rear fans are a great idea? Did you notice much of a difference in intake temps?

Looks like a great idea but I also cring at all the water weight sitting up there in the nose of the car. How much more benefit are you seeing by adding that much water? There has to be a point where increased performance or heat soak is outweighed by the weight penalty that far up on the car.

How did you wire up the 2 fans? I remember your thread about this, haven't noticed if you updated it or not tbh
