Really cool video. Even though it's 70+ years old the info is still very relevant since diffs haven't changed much at all fundamentally since their advent. Hopefully this can be shown to every new forum member here before they feel compelled to ask "where is my differential?" or "what does a diff do?"

so a LSD would let the "stuck" wheel turn right?

Not sure what "stuck" wheel you are referring to, but if it is in reference to that one wheeled car having a hard time getting out of the ditch at 2:46 in the video, then yes.
