well i would just buy a bixenon projector and just take the solenoid over or swap the projector. seems like an easy fix to me.

There's someone on hidplanet.com selling a pair of e46 bixenon projectors for $50 shipped. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/show...rs-Shrouds-etc...

Yes, my problem was my bulb. It cracked. I replaced the bulb new and walah. All fixed!

wtf? How does a broken bulb disable the bixenon function? That's a first.

Still doesn't make sense. The shield falls away from the bulb, towards the lens.

IDK, but glad you got it solved!

Even if the shutter was stuck, you would think a cracked bulb wouldn't put out any light. Guess it doesn't matter as long as the issue is fixed

well the gas and minerals are enclosed in only that small area in the middle of the bulb. in theory it could crack anywhere else and still work. i'm guessing the crack was making the light reflect weird so it looked like the highs were on all the time, and that's why the changing of the bulb fixed the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. One more thing....I had some aftermarket angel eyes installed a few months back, I think my guy pretty much glued them to front of headlight. Will that affect replacing the projector?

Replacing the projector? Unlikely. Returning to stock? Yeah.
