Pros and Cons 1988 M5

Hey guys, what do you all think of the old 88 m5's? There's one for sale not to far off with about 190k and hasn't been driven in years but still runs just a little rough. I was thinking of going to check it out.

I assume its an e28, for the right price maybe. condition is key, mileage isnt as important if it has been maintained well. BUT hasnt been driven in years is a red flag. How many years and what was it doing? was it stored or just left in a garage (or worse yet a field). not driving it for years could be a bad sign, maintenance could have been too much for the owner so they just left it.

Go check it out sure, but even for a rock bottom price get it checked out by a trusted shop before you do anything or it could be a money pit.

Otherwise old school M's are very nice. but I wouldnt rock one as a daily driver.
