Convince me to not buy these two guns

I don't have pictures of the actual guns, but I'll post up generics.

The first is a used Glock 30, .45 ACP. It looks to be in good shape, new generation with the rail and a low round count. Think it comes with 2 mags, case, etc. basically as it comes new. 470.00 + tax

The second is a used Walther P22 in CF wrap. Not real CF, but I've been thinkin of buying one of these for a while. Seems to be in good shape, low round count. Again, I think it comes with the standard package from the factory. 275ish + tax

Anyone know anything about the Warranties from Glock and Walther? Are they transferable?

You might be able to get a brand new Glock 30 for that price. Give this guy a call http://summitgunbroker.com/ He doesn't have any used ones currently, but his new prices are excellent, from what I hear.

Hmm...normally what kills the deals is the shipping. I've found a few on gunbroker for an awesome price, but when I factor in the shipping, which is often a ludicrous $28.00, and the transfer fee, I'm better off buying the one in-store.

Nevertheless, I'll give this guy a call. Thanks!

EDIT::

Called 'em...they said the deals they got on new glocks weren't what they once were and that I'd be looking at just under $500 for one. Not too bad, but again I'd pay for shipping and a transfer fee which would push it well over $500. In comparison, I think I could get out of the store with the used one for $500. If they aren't willing to come down $10-15 to make that happen, they clearly don't want the business.

I also did a bit more reading on the warranty. Apparently, they don't say that they transfer but anyone who has bought a used glock and sent it in for service has had no trouble whatsoever. In fact, I read one that some guy bought a used one, sent it in, and they sent it back with a bunch of new parts installed, a new glock case, a new lock, and the guy's $20.00 check he sent in. That's top quality service.

So I guess the question is, should I get it????

I completely agree. They usually have to be at least $75 lower to make it worthwhile by the time you factor in everything. Good luck!

I would just buy a new Glock for 50-100 more.

Really? Drat...can't really argue with the Glock expert.

You once told me to try to get a new glock for under $500 OTD if I recall correctly, but I can't seem to come across one anywhere. Maybe if I was LE...

Shoot straight at the gun show is probably your best bet.

Whats the best price you can get on a 30 locally?

LEOs get Glock direct pricing.

I just looked up my receipts...

I paid between 475-525 for each of my glocks brand new.

Should not be too hard to get a 30 for 500+tax new.

I think the last one I saw here was around $526 + tax. I really don't think the gunshow thing will do me alot of good yet, as I'm still waiting to get my CCW back so that kinda nixes the same day buying thing.

There's a sweet one on gunbroker floating around for $490, but there is a $28 shipping charge and my FFL charges like $25 for the transfer so it's barely worth the hassle.

i have the P22 and I love it. It can be ammunition picky. Federal usually works best for me. Its a real fun gun to shoot. You can also get the barrel extension.
