Quick tire question
Found a good deal on some new tires
I currently run 4 205/55/r16 from the dealer The new tires are 2 205 and 2 215. 215's will fit in the rear correct?

http://www.csgnetwork.com/tireinfo4calc.html, you can use this to see how much different the rolling circumferences might be. What's the aspect ratio of the 215's?

You should not have a problem with the 215's in the rear. What is the brand of tire? Just make sure they are all the same tire.

Not necessarily.
What are the profiles of the 215s? Sure a 215 or 225 can work, but it depends on the profile to maintain the proper overall rolling diameter.

Exactly the same 2 michelin energy mxv4 plus 205/55r16 and 2 michelin energy mxv4 plus 215/55r16
I have 4 michelin energy mxv4 plus 205/55r16 on there right now. then my spare would even still be the same. I've had a bad luck year in tires. 2 nails in 2 sidewalls (different tires) and a bubble from a mysterious non curbing when my wife used the car. My luck in tires and curbs (and bad city streets commuting to Boston everyday) is the real reason I am still on 16s and not moved to 18s which would look so, so pretty!

Why not just get the same tires all the way around?

Because I like asking dumb questions on public forums.
![]() No I found thes 4 tires on Craigslist for oh about $400 cheaper than tire rack. Just picked them up, they are brand freakin new... probably obtained by questionable means... but I didn't ask.
