Hello all e46 Fanatics, got a few questions for you all

Hi, everyone I have been lurking around here for about a few months now. I was previously looking for a BMW to buy around here. After I was unsuccessful I decided to give my car hunt for a sporty car a break. I am not a BMW owner at the moment but I would like to be. I have a few questions about a few cars that I thought the fanatics here could compare to a E46 M3. So here are my questions, I understand that it might be slightly biased considering this is a BMW site but I am posting this on other forums in hopes of getting some advice.

I plan to buy a fast/sporty car in about a year from now. I plan on spending about 30k maybe more maybe less. I am going to be heading off to college and want a nice sporty car that could last me 4 to 5 years maybe a bit more. I would like something that's relatively fast, got good handling. Something I could mod, maybe even take to the track a few times, at the same time that It could be a daily driver. I'm not very mechanically inclined but I know a good bit. The cars that I selected for this search are, a E46 M3, Nissan 350z, Infiniti G35 Coupe and 2005 to 2010 Ford Mustang GT.
So basically my question is which one of these would be the best for my needs, feel free to suggest any other car that I may have forgotten. I would also like the car to be somewhat reliable, I don't mind high mileage cars as long as they have been properly cared for. Also which car would be easier/cheaper to mod? and basically which would be the overall most fun to drive that meets my needs. Thanks!

I would get a e46 m3 6 speed manual, a lot of fun to drive bone stock!

Honda S2000 is a fun car to drive stock too.

Nissan 350z/G35 are boring to drive.

All expensive to modify. All these cars can last long if properly maintained...never heard of a high mileage ford though???
