You want to know the work method of Don step by step...

Better buy lots of vinyls and make first few installs in small parts. Spay the parts with water to prevent instant glue and to allow to slide the vinyl on the surface. Then remove the excess of water between the parts and vinyl from the middle to the edges. Use also a heat gun to accelerate the dry process and cut with a razor the excess of vinyl in the edges.

When you achieve a good level of experience then go ahead with the roof. Even if Don give you some tips it will be worthless as this is a skill job no matter if you start top, bottom or middle. There is also lots of info in this forum about it. I remember a member that wrapped the intire car and posted step by step.

Did you ever done this to a 911 (bright car color with darker roof)?

The only pictures I have of it on a 911 are these pictures on a 997 GT3 that I wrapped the 3M Di-Noc CF with, on the roof and spoiler element.

Althought i prefer the gloss vinyl over the fake CF vinyl, that gives a pretty cheap look to me, that car is stunning. Thank you very much for sharing those pics.

Got some new pictures that I haven't posted up, that I'll do later today or tomorrow.

Let me know if you guys want any specific pictures/angles for me to take, before/after/etc of the vinyl on the cars, and I'll see what I can do for you.

Also, feel free to post any thoughts or feedback you might have. Always looking for new ideas to do and try out

Tired of white car after white car with black roofs yet? Here's a Kia Forte that I vinyl wrapped the roof in gloss black. Pretty cool little car and a nice change of pace of all the euro/white cars.

as far as roofs are concerned, gloss black seems to look better then the matt black, which got me wondering, Im yet to see a gloss CF wrap. Have you got any pics of a gloss CF wrap?

Matte only looks good on certain cars. Usually cars that are heavily modded or geared towards that theme. I personally think Subies, etc can pull off the matte.

Gloss CF doesn't exist. Technically there are some out there, but they are so horrible, I do not acknowledge them

I've had people ask if I can vinyl wrap hard tops and just how flexible my vinyl is...

Let me know if this answers your questions, and if you have any others

What finish?

Here's pictures of a white BMW E90 3 series that I vinyl wrapped the roof with in gloss black. He also had black wheels, so it'll give those who are curious how the black roof works with black wheels.

How about something a bit different. Here's a new Honda Insight that I vinyl wrapped the roof with in matte black.

Vinyl wrapped the roof of this E60 BMW 550i in gloss black material.

I know almost all of my pictures of white cars, but I must admit, they do look the best on white cars. Although, I do wish cars of other colors would come by to get it done, and add a little bit more of variety, haha.

Here's a white C300 Mercedes that I vinyl wrapped the roof in gloss black for. Note, the roof/side rails were already black, and so was the antenna.
