5.0 stang vs 330i in 1/4 mile?

This is more of a question than a poll but who do you think would win a 330i or 5.0 stang. there are people to support both cars Some People say that the 330i will pull out in the ond of the 1/4 wile some ppl say the Stang will get to far ahaed to fast and the 330i wont be able to catch up (by people i mean my friends) so what do you guys think? and has anyone raced the new 5.0 mustangs?

A 330 will get it's ass handed to it.

i figured, i guesse it depends on the millage on the car(s) too, how much HP they have lost over time

You're asking if a 330 will beat out a modern 5.0 Mustang?

if you're talking about the early 90's 5.0 mustang then there is no comparison, the bmw will be grabbing its ankles the whole way through

those mustangs are as ugly as they are fast...and they are really ugly

Stock they are fast, but there are a lot of A/M stuff out there.

The new mustangs are not a whole lot faster than each other my friend has a 94 stang and his bro and 07 or 08 i think and they are only 1 second apart

Only a second There's a huge difference between a 13 and a 12 second 1/4 mile....

Yeah i know Drag Racing.... Most People Think that the new and old mustangs arent comparable at all, i dont own a a Mustang But my old 69 camaro runs 9.98

Obviously not stock and thus not comparable.

Depends on model.

I have had a handful of stangs.

Last was a 99GT, stock ran 14.1 at 98 mph with just a gear swap and pulleys ran 13.7 at 101.

It ended up with 550rw but thats a long story.

Bottom line, any GT from 99 and up will run 0-60 in 5+ sec and clip off a 13 sec+ 1/4. STOCK

I also have had notch backs that were 20 yrs old run that with simple mods too so short answer, pick on a V6

Is the 330 supercharged? Is the Stang driver a complete failure? Was it the 140hp 5L Mustang from the 70s?

no its not stock but the 427 would run and 11 seconds bone stock now its modifyied

What's the Stang? For example, a 1995 Mustang GT 5.0 Automatic isn't very fast stock. Has 215 hp and the auto really saps the power on that car.

But 1999-2004 4.6s have 260 hp, while 05' newer 4.6s have 300 or so. The 2010 GT 4.6L are at 315 hp.

My 03 Mach first time at Bristol Motor Speedway 1/4 mile bone stock with stock air filter, first time driver ran 13.6 @ 102.06.

BTW, the old muscle cars weren't as fast as they seemed back in the day. If stock Camaros ran those times, they would have set every record known at the time. http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclec...s-50fast.shtml

Im lucky this 69 Camaro is a COPO, if you know what that is thats why it has the 427. when i ran that 11 ish run i just had a 1000 CFM carb so i guess not Bone stock, now she is a street legal beast!

COPO's are rare beast's! And it sounds like a strong car.
