My Ride: 325ci
couple pics from willow springs track day 02/21

Yesterday I got to drive one of my dream cars on a track. I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid, racing junk go-karts around a little track at the local mini golf/arcade park.

Thanks to the great info on the m3post board, I went to my first track day pretty prepared. The car is pretty much stock, but I had EAS flush in racing brake fluid and install some Ground Control camber plates. I picked up some slightly used Michelin PSS tires (275/30 and 295/30 - no rubbing) from this board and had them mounted on my zcp wheels.
Zip-tied a sock to my power steering reservoir, and saved a mess! I did not notice any brake fade and was very impressed with how well the car handled the track.

The car was fantastic. Very predictable and tons of grip. On laps with no traffic where I was able to properly hit turn 9, I was able to hit 140 mph at the end of the main straight. The car is pretty much stock other than an AFE carbon intake, Vorsteiner rear section exhaust, and camber plates. The rest is cosmetic.

Unfortunately, someone's black/black e92 m3 went off course on turn 3 and went for a rough ride and came to a stop near the top of the hill. I'm not sure what happened, but the driver was ok. I heard from another person they just had a broken wheel, but I'm somewhat doubtful they had such minor damage.
