M1 Carbine joins the family

I just received my M1 Carbine from the CMP this morning. It got here within a few weeks of ordering. I'm very impressed. It looks like it is in quite decent shape. It's a Winchester and set me back $675 plus shipping to my door. Next order of business is to get mags and ammo for the carbine and take the two old timers out to get zeroed.

My collection as it stands now. I am desperately waiting for my SiG 556 Classic SWAT to arrive. Apparently, Sig is quite backed up.

-Browning Cynergy 12 gauge O/U
-HRA M1 Garand (Korean War Serial #)
-Winchester M1 Carbine

-Ruger .22 MkII Target
-Sig P232 .380
-P250 Compact 9mm
-P229 .40/.357Sig
-P226R .40/.357Sig
-Sig 1911 Officer's Model .45ACP

Sorry for the big pics. Hope you have a widescreen monitor

My Ride: a car
I love both of those M-1s.
I have fired both types and they are great weapons.

I have been wanting to get an M1 Carbine for a long time. I keep putting it off and not getting one, but I will eventually buy one. I really like that thing. Too bad .30 Carbine ammo is so spendy.

Yeah, I will probably pick up a few hundred rounds soon. Need to wait for the mags to arrive anyway. Now it's time to wait for a good 1917 or 1903...

My Ride: eat's cars.
watch out on the 30rd mags. stick to the 15rds. I have a 30 rd and it always jams around 17 or 18. i've tried a few different ones.

Yeah, so I have heard. I'll definitely stick to the 15. I have no need for a 30, so might as well not waste my money trying to find a good 30.
