automatic doors

Hi,
My vehicle is a e46 325cic and the problem surrounds the driver side door automatic lock.

Here's what works: when I press the lock button on the remote key, both doors lock.

Here what doesn't work: When I press the unlock button on the remote key, only the passenger side door unlocks. the driver side door does not unlock.

additionally, the lock/unlock button by the transmission dash only works for the passenger side door (lock and unlock).

does anyone have any ideas what it could be? the door switch? the actuator? i've already checked the fuses, they are all fine.

Thanks in advance,
Kenny

Strange, I imagine you tried the unlock button twice. That still would not explain the locking issue though. If you hit unlock on the remote twice, does it still stay locked?

LOL....ghetto

Bad enough when you have a window stuck in the up position and you have to open your door to have the military police check your id to get on base.
