My Ride: 2000 323i BMW
Angry no reverse issue

Greetings,

I am a new member and have a question. I have a 2000 323i BMW that I purchased at the Munich factory. Suddenly it decided it didn't want to go in reverse. As i went on-line I viewed some disturbing information regarding this issue. it is a common occurrence. I also saw that there was a class action lawsuit that settled last year. i was never made aware of it. i have talked with BMW and they aren't willing to help. What recourse do i have? This is going to cost me $2000 for the reverse drum barrel replacement. my vehicle only has 56,000 miles. It is also disappointing to learn that the transmission was outsourced and made in France. i thought i was buying germna engineering !
